Have you ever watched Whose Line Anyway and thought, man that would be fun to do. Well, you were right. It is fun, and it's challenging. Improv comedy is a skill that can be learned and practiced. What it requires is a willingness to play, and to step into the present moment, and it helps if you can confront looking like a fool every now and then. But hey, there's nobody here but us chickens, right?

This evening will start off with some basic lessons on the rules for Improv. Yes, it's a paradox. There are rules in a game where everything goes. These are really just some basic understandings that people have found create the structure and environment where people can cut loose and have it all work out.

Then after we've laid a little ground work, we'll explain a game and then dive right in, adding new games as we find it appropriate. We will be both performers and audience.

Because of limited space this first group is limited to 10 people.

This will be the first meeting of the new group, so come on out and meet some new friends and have some fun.

Who attended?

    •  We played and laughed, a lot. Great fun to let go, be spontaneous and imaginative.

The event was just what I wanted: a fun evening of spontaneity and creativity with a spirit of play and everyone winning. Plus there were lots of people there who were really funny and boldly creative and self-expressed.
