The Denver Improv Comedy Meetup Group
|
We have an opportunity to be not only improv comedy spectators, but also free workshop performers with the Denver TheatreSports weekly Wednesday workshops. If there is enough participation, Fran Rew, beginning Wednesday, April 9, 2008, this workshop will be on our group's calendar for the 2nd Wednesday of the month. Please take the Meetup poll on the link in the left column of The Denver Improv Comedy Meetup Group, and let Fran know what you would prefer. The photos of the free workshop and the performers are on the photos link.

"I'm not shy, but I don't get out much with other people anymore. I'm looking for funny people to connect with. I love to laugh, and I think I'm a pretty funny person. I'm also very active."
-
"Eric, it was so good to read that you would love to give a walking dialogue group a try. If you could give me your top three preferences for location, time and date, I'll try to schedule your first choice, and announce you online as a scheduled invited Walk Guest on all three web sites Topic-Talk Walks' (TTW) Meetup, TTW's domain site, and this Denver Improv Comedy (DIC) Meetup web site. Also let me know your preferences for which night to schedule and host the DIC at the Bovine. "
-
"Fran, I would love to sometime, but I teach improv classes in Boulder on Wednesday nights. I would love to do it another time though. I love dialogue."
-
"Eric Farone! Welcome!! I wonder how many people in this group know what an awesome and talented person you are in addition to your role as the Director and Owner of the Bovine Metropolis - www.bovinemetropolis.com. I sure would love it if you could join the TTW walk tomorrow as an invited Walk Guest. I'll schedule and host a night this month at the Bovine on our calendar if you simply walk with us tomorrow. Deal?"
-

"Where is that bench full of monkey statues that you are mimicking? I loved that photo! For me, a walking improv comedy experience is always much more memorable and enjoyable than a sitting indoor performance. For history topics, Tom Noel and Dennis Gallagher are naturals at improv. The Big Dream - Democratic National Convention in our City Park August walking improv - multi-topic dance groups led by local and celebrity improv artists like Jay Leno, Ellen Degeneres and Wayne Brady? Possible?"
-
"hello. i'm new to denver. looking forward to discovery through walking, talking, creativity."

"In good weather, meet in the Rose Garden area on the west side of the DMNS. The benches in the hexagon dancing fountain area are in the center of the Rose Garden."
-
"On poor weather days, we'll meet indoors in the DMNS. This photo is looking past the ticket counters to the main entrance door in front of the dinosaur."
-
"Our invited impromptu visitor is in the lead enjoying the response of Mike and Sam behind him. Richard is in the rear with another invited impromptu visitor. Fran took these pictures."
-
"I don't know why the instructions tell you to 'say hello and share a few things' because there's no one around to hear me. I would think it's better to say 'write Hello and share a few things about yourself'. Just call me caption obvious!"
